Why do I fundraise for the Junior League of Birmingham? Imagine being part of a family tradition that spans generations. A tradition of giving back to the community and making a difference. That is the Junior League of Birmingham, an organization that has been changing lives in the Greater Birmingham area for over a century. And for me, it is a tradition that is greatly treasured. As a third-generation member of the Junior League, I am part of the legacy of women who with remarkable vision desire to make a difference in our community and in the world. It is a way of life — choosing to look beyond ourselves — responding to the critical needs of our neighbors with effective action to empower and enrich the lives of those we serve. With a missionary heart, when striving to put our hands and hearts together in service, we have the opportunity to utilize our gifts, talents and compassion to create a ripple effect of positivity that extends far beyond individual efforts. I am grateful to all the women who have upheld the traditions, fostered the spirit and continued to build the legacy of the Junior League of Birmingham through training, dedication and commitment that mindfully fosters and forges our future to be the next 100 years strong. LBDI is an opportunity to continue a legacy of service, inspire others to join in, and ensure a legacy that endures for generations to come. That is why I support the Junior League of Birmingham and its mission to Build A Better Birmingham.

Why do I fundraise for the Junior League of Birmingham? I fundraise for Junior League because I believe in the power of women working together to create meaningful, lasting change in our community. Through partnerships with organizations such as The Exceptional Foundation, Girls Inc., and Grace Klein Community, Junior League supports programs that uplift individuals and families, promote leadership development, and meet real, tangible needs. Why do I fundraise for the Junior League of Birmingham? After 7 years in the League, I've seen firsthand what good stewards the members of the Junior League are with the funds raised for use within our community. The work that the League does touches the lives of students in our schools, our food insecure neighbors, local victims of trafficking, and many more, and I know that the League can be trusted to make every dollar stretch for maximum community impact.

Why do I fundraise for the Junior League of Birmingham? I fundraise for the Junior League of Birmingham because I’ve seen firsthand how powerful a community of committed women can be when we come together around service, leadership, and lasting impact. The League doesn’t just raise money - it invests in solutions that strengthen families, uplift children, and address some of Birmingham’s most pressing challenges. Through my work with the Anti-Human Trafficking Committee and other League initiatives, I’ve watched volunteers turn passion into action - supporting local nonprofits, educating the community, and creating real change for vulnerable populations. Every dollar raised helps fund programs that improve lives right here in our city. I’m proud to fundraise for JLB because it builds leaders, fuels meaningful service, and creates ripple effects that reach far beyond a single project. When we support the Junior League of Birmingham, we’re investing in a stronger, more compassionate Birmingham for generations to come.

Favorite Placement: My favorite placement has been Little Leaguers because it gives me the joy of pouring into young hearts and helping them discover their voice and their capacity to serve. I believe leadership starts early, so knowing I’m a small part of their journey and watching their compassion fir others grow has been very rewarding.

I fundraise for the Junior League of Birmingham because I believe in the power of “The Village”, when it’s activated, it creates meaning opportunity with in our communities. As a mom, an educator, and a woman of faith, my mission is simple: serve God, serve people, and make a difference. I’ve seen firsthand how small acts of kindness can change the course of someone’s life, and I’m grateful to be part of an organization that turns service into lasting impact.

Favorite Placement: I have loved Member Chair Training this year! I have gotten to interact with so many people in the League and in the Community. I have had an awesome committee, and getting to hear what the members want to learn and bring that to life has been really cool to do.
Why do I fundraise for the Junior League of Birmingham? I really love Birmingham with all of my heart, and I am super involved in the Birmingham community, but the thing that i am most proud of and gives me the most joy and sense of accomplishment is my time with the JLB. Joining as a transfer when I moved back to Birmingham gave me an immediate sense of belonging which facilitated the confidence for me to get involved with other groups. Any day that I get to show up at the League building is a good day, and seeing what we bring to Birmingham year round is really incredible. We are a powerful group of women, and I want us to continue to grow and flourish.
